Moreland Community Child Care Co-operative aims to provide the children with a safe and caring environment for all to develop and learn to their full potential through exploration and experimentation at their own pace. Fostering such an environment will allow all children to grow and mature in the key areas of development:

• Intellectual/cognitive
• Social/emotional
• Language
• Physical/gross motor skills/fine motor skills

The potential of each child is encouraged as well as consideration given to the group experience. A high priority is placed on the promotion of each child’s self esteem and the development of both autonomy and co-operation. Children are also encouraged to relate effectively and honestly with others, irrespective of gender, race, cultural background or belief system. This will be achieved by providing:

• An informal, warm and caring environment, with good nutritional food, in a safe and healthy environment;
• Staff who foster these values;
• A developmentally appropriate program which allows children opportunities to explore and experiment; and
• Physical/gross motor skills/fine motor skills
